1. I'm half Hawaiian
2. I've been married for 27 years, we've been together for 29 years
3. There are three amazing young adults that call me Mom; 2 girls and 1 boy
4. I'm a compulsive overeater and have been my whole life
5. I'm 48 and it scares me less than it used to
6. I have an amazing capacity for love and acceptance
7. My one great victory in life is that I've raised my kids to know that LOVE is the most important thing, and that my love for them is completely unconditional. I know they extend that love to others.
8. I love people, but often feel invisible because of my weight
9. I'm oversexed
10. Number 9 embarrasses my kids but thrills my husband
11. I was a stay at home mom for 10 years
12. My husband switched careers at 40 and went back to school (seminary) full time
13. I went back to work full time to support my family when my hub went back to school
14. I almost left my husband after 10 months of his "career change"
15. I discovered that I couldn't be a pastor's wife. He discovered that he didn't want to be a pastor
16. Our church "disowned" us when my husband left seminary, so I disowned them back
17. I've been the victim of devastating rumors and gossip at the hands of " loving Christians"
18. I've told all those people to go to hell
19. I'm happier than I've ever been in my life since I stopped going to church
20. Screw guilt. It serves no purpose other than self damage
21. I LOVE to sing
22. I'm my children's biggest cheerleader
23. My daughter's friends call me "TOM" (The Other Mom)
24. I gave up surfing when I was 14, and started up again when I was 40
25. I walked away from a job that I really loved for 4 years because the people there were liars and backstabbers
26. I left the corporate world and now work in a tiki shop.
27. My husband is my best friend
28. I'm adopted, but recently found my birth family
29. I have three half brothers and two half sisters in my adoptive family and there are fourteen children in my biological family
30. I'm still my brother's "baby sister"
31. I live in Southern California
32. I call Southern California "Babylon". Think about it
33. I'm as far away from the Southern California mentality as I can get. I HATE the term "The OC".
34. I've never really liked my body image, even when I was thin, er thinner

39. I grew up in Hawaii, but I'd never raise my kids there

43. I drive a mini van and I LOVE it
44. I was the first child in my family to go to college

46. I encourage my kids to go to college because I see how hard its been without that degree
47. I love to cook, but I hate to go shopping
48. I believe a lot of my weight issues are the result of being raped when I was 11
49. Because of what I've experienced as a child, I tend to be an overprotective parent
50. I am a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan
51. I take a lot of crap for that
52. I love watching my son play hockey
53. I love going to my daughters plays and recitals
54. I have Center Ice and during hockey season I watch at least a game a day
55. My husband doesn't mind being a hockey widower
56. I absolutely hate basketball
57. I absolutely hate golf
58. I can't stand religious zealots (I think most of them are hypocrites)
59. I live across the park from the Trinity Broadcast Network and often think about unplugging their display lights.
60. I believe in God, but I don't believe He plays an active role in our lives. I think He just watches, and shakes His head.
61. I pity bigots because they are missing out on so much love
62. I believe a person's personality is directly related to the birth experience
63. I love to write but don't think I'm that great at it
64. I've started at least three Great American Novels

66. I met John Wayne and Kirk Douglas when I was four and they bought me an ice cream cone
67. I met John Wayne again when I was 17 and he remembered buying me an ice cream cone. Or at least he was gracious enough to say he did.
68. I'm a Parrothead. It's five o'clock somewhere.
69. My girls and I blast Broadway tunes and sing them when we're driving in the car. My son is a latter-day LedHead. He stole all my LZ CDs.
70. I will go to great lengths to protect the people I care about
71. I get angry at stupid people very easily
72. I love tequila...but it has to be 100% agave
73. My husband's friends are all confirmed bachelors and when we all go out, I'm always the only girl.

83. I wanted to be a special effects tech for movies, but my parents couldn't afford college

85. I sometimes wish I was one of my own kids cuz I think I'm an awesome mom
86. I had to start working full time right after graduation to help with my father's medical bills
87. I plan to buy a small place in Mexico and retire there
88. I don't have a lot of friends but the ones I do have I love intensely
89. I danced hula for 20 years
90. Back in the day, I danced hula in Las Vegas in a polynesian revue
91. I know I'd like myself a lot better if I could lose about 100 pounds but I know my weight does not define the essence of my soul
92. I love it that my husband loves me even though I'm overweight
93. I wish people could look beyond the package as well. That's worth saying twice
94. I know a lot about a lot of things, but I don't need to flaunt it
95. I secretly laugh to myself when someone says something wrong about something that they think they're an authority on
96. I love food and can't understand what's wrong with that
97. I hate it that my kids go to the same high school I went to
98. I tend to get very quiet around my in-laws because I basically think they like the sound of their own voices. That, and I think they're idiots
99. I love tattoos that have meaning to the person who has them
100. Guys on choppers make my pulse race.
